She is the daughter of Gary Rom, a luminary in South Africa's hairstyling domain and the brains behind the world renowned Gary Rom Haircare products and Gary Rom Hairdressing salons. Mel inherited a deep-rooted passion for exquisite hair. Her passion for healthy and beautiful hair led her to conceive Besalu Hair.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Mel has steered numerous business ventures to success. Through her astute vision, she recognised a void in the Australian market for a premium hair care range crafted exclusively from indigenous Australian ingredients. However, her aspirations extended beyond mere hair care; she aspired to formulate products that nourish not only the hair but also the skin (your scalp), for the relationship between a healthy scalp and vibrant hair is undeniable.
